Birmingham City are showing an interest in Trabzonspor striker Hugo Rodallega, claim MynetSpor.
According to the Turkish website, the two sides have been talking via representatives, but at this stage Trabzonspor don’t want to lose the striker to the Championship side.
The 32 year old Colombian spent seven years in England, and shouldn’t have an issue adapting if he were to join Birmingham City in this transfer window.
Rodallega has lost his place to Burak Yilmaz at Trabzonspor, and subsequently the South American is considering his future with the Turkish side, with Birmingham City said to be an option.
The former Wigan Athletic striker reportedly has a release clause in his contract which is about €1.75m, but the club’s manager Rıza Calimbay wants to keep the Colombian in his squad.
However, Rodallega is looking for regular games, and if he wants a move to Birmingham City then the Turkish side will be powerless to stop him because of his clause.
