AmkSpor report Fenerbahçe have joined the race to sign Palermo midfielder Robin Quaison. Birmingham City are also chasing the attacking midfielder, along with Serie A sides Sampdoria and AS Roma.

Quaison will be a free agent at the end of the season, and his recent Palermo performances mean he’s likely to have lots of suitors for his signature. AmkSpor claim Fenerbahçe have offered €2million to land him in this window, and now the Turkish giants are waiting on an answer from Palermo.

Fenerbahçe are also following Mehmet Ekici’s situation at Trabzonspor and the newspaper predicts either he or Quaison will become their new no.10. Fellow Turkish side Başakşehir have also been linked with Quaison.

Last week we covered reports from Italy that Birmingham City had made an offer to Quaison to join them in the summer. Birmingham City are now able to speak to the Swede with regards to a pre-contract agreement, and will able to sign him on a free transfer at the end of the season.

However, Birmingham City will be concerned Fenerbahce are trying to sign Quaison on the cheap in this window, and may have to act before they lose the player.
