Bild have managed to get a picture of Ivan Gazidis at the private terminal of Dortmund airport. The Arsenal chief was being picked up by Sven Mislintat, and at the side of them was a chrome plated Porsche owned by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
We’re not going to reproduce the picture, because it’s on Bild’s premium edition, but you can imagine it. To the right is Sven helping Ivan get a small case into the boot of what we assume is the scout’s car, and to the left is the Porsche.
Bild take the picture as proof that things could now go ‘very fast’ on Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal, but the offer is still at €50m and Borussia Dortmund still want €70m.
Gazidis is said to have arrived at 10.47am on Sunday, and Arsenal have been having direct talks in Dortmund today over the transfer.
The Arsenal chief is said to have exited the terminal and took a deep breath of fresh air, and Bild add ‘He sees the chrome-coloured sports car of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, shoots a cell phone photo of the car. Then he goes back to the terminal. With another club representative, he comes out again, both look at the car together, smile.’
Bild’s pohotgrapher then followed the car, we assume, because at 1.47pm the Arsenal representatives were seen leaving a law firm in Dortmund.
Then they went to L’Arrivée hotel, which Dortmund use as their team base, and it’s insinuated they held talks with Hans-Joachim Watzke and Michael Zorc.
At 3.42pm, Zorc and Watzke left the hotel.
Bild say, according to their own information, there’s no final outcome yet.
