Bild say there’s ‘Achtung’ (danger) for Hoffenheim, with regards to one of their key players.
A year ago, Kerem Demirbay extended his contract with the Bundesliga club, but the German newspaper have found out the details of an exit clause.
Depending on the league, Demirbay can be signed for €20-30m and there’s nothing Hoffenheim can do about it.
Arsenal are said to be chasing the player.
Bild claim they ‘know’ the Premier League club have been following the 25 year old midfielder, and have already ‘lodged’ their interest. There’s no explanation whether that interest was lodged with the player’s representatives or Hoffenheim.
It’s believed that Arsenal wouldn’t have any financial issues with the potential signing, given the transfer fee and the player’s wages are ‘easily to handle’.
Bild say Liverpool were chasing the midfielder last summer, with Klopp knowing the player from their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
There’s also interest from Turkey, who Demirbay represented at youth level before switching to Germany.
Arsenal and Liverpool were both linked in February 2018 by SportBild, along with Everton, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Schalke and Borussia Dortmund.
