Earlier today we covered some claims from Kicker about Bayern Munich’s chase for Leroy Sane.
The German website was confident and yet also doubtful in their claims that a deal was virtually agreed, and we made it clear it was probably best to wait for Christian Falk at Bild to give his opinion.
Now, along with several other Bild journalists credited on the article, he’s made it clear there’s no Bayern agreement to sign the Manchester City player.
However, it is stated the player wants to play for Bayern ‘in the future’.
On how far the move is along the road, Bild state: ‘Sane should be ready to sign for four or five years at Bayern. FC Bayern must negotiate the transfer fee with Manchester City, where Sane is under contract until 2021. As always, it is about the distribution of guaranteed transfer fee and success payments. This may take a few more days – and includes the small chance of failure.’
They believe Manchester City will demand more than €100m for their player, however, it’s clear there’s no firm asking price known at this stage.
The suggestion is that Sane could earn €20m at Bayern, with that amount ‘supposedly’ under discussion. Bayern would end up paying around €200m for the whole package including salary.
