German manager Hansi Flick has reportedly become Barcelona’s ‘first option’ to be in charge of the Catalan side next season.
According to claims from RAC1, club president Joan Laporta has already spoken to the coach and found him to be ‘receptive’ over a move to the Camp Nou.
It’s said the Barcelona official ‘likes Flick’s methodology’ and ‘the intensity’ the manager would implant on the team.
That’s why the manager is now the priority signing for Barça’s bench next season, as Ronald Koeman is now expected to leave the position next month.
Hansi Flick took charge of Bayern Munich in November in 2019 and only took a few months to win the Champions League with the German side. However, it was recently decided that he’d be leaving the Bundesliga giants at the end of this season.
Strong rumours said the manager would take charge of the German national team. RAC1 confirms there was an agreement for that, but ‘nothing has been signed’ yet, so he should have a clear path to take charge of Barcelona.
