For the past year and a bit, Moise Kean has been on loan at Juventus from Everton, where things haven’t exactly gone to plan.
The forward was repatriated by the Serie A side after his successful loan at Paris Saint-Germain, in hope that he could replicate that form in Turin.
They did so with a two-year loan with an almost guaranteed option to buy him from Everton, which has somewhat backfired spectacularly, as the young striker has mostly failed to shine.
Things have changed a little bit since, with him scoring against Empoli and Benfica lately, and he will be given another chance in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain, with his club already out of the competition.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that there is a belief from those near him ‘that the turning point is near and that this time, Moise can really find continuity’, and the club ‘still hopes to be able to save’ something from this deal.
Regardless of what happens, ‘the transfer will be completed at the end of the season’, even if there is no one to buy him straight afterwards, but his ‘confirmation still hangs in the balance’.
One way or another, Everton will get their money, and recuperate a large chunk of their original expenditure on the player.
During his time at Goodison Park in an Everton shirt, Kean made 39 appearances, scored four goals and picked up two assists.
