With Estêvão having a great performance for Palmeiras in the match against Vasco da Gama this week, the Brazilian press now makes sure to recall that he’ll soon be sold to Chelsea.

UOL feature a story claiming the clubs stand very close to a deal, and the only reason the transfer isn’t completed is further demands made by the South American side.

Palmeiras’ idea is to sell him for €40m plus €25m in bonuses. What seems to be a new demand in the negotiations is that they’d like to keep the player until December 2025.

At first, Estêvão was supposed to move to Chelsea in summer 2025, when he’ll be 18. So there should be some more negotiations for this longer wait.

UOL journalists claim that the transfer is fully agreed, though, with the youngster expected to sign a seven-year deal with the Blues.

Last night, following Palmeiras’ match, coach Abel Ferreira spoke to the media and discussed sales. West Ham United just announced the signing of Luis Guilherme, with Endrick also moving to Real Madrid, and Estevão’s transfer to Chelsea is the next to be confirmed.

“The sales: Endrick, now Luis [Guilherme] and Estêvão who is ready. The European currency is strong and it’s difficult to compete against them. I understand that, these sales,” he said.
