Hull City attacking midfielder Markus Henriksen has told the Norwegian media there were offers for him in the last transfer window, but the Championship side weren’t ready to part ways.

The Norway international is likely to leave Hull City in the summer when his current deal expires.

Speaking to Vg.no, Henriksen confirmed there was interest from other clubs: “There were some bids, but Hull didn’t want to sell.”

It’s claimed by the Norwegian newspaper that French club Bordeaux were showing an interest in the Hull City player last month but is seems they couldn’t convince the English club to sell, despite holding talks.

Vg.no also lean on reports from the English media to say Newcastle United and Leicester City were tracking Henriksen.

With his contract due to expire in the coming months it seems like he will leave Hull City at the end of the season. Vg.no report there is little indication he will extend his stay with the club, and subsequently will leave on a free transfer.
