Leeds United looks set to beat the competition to sign Laurens de Bock from Club Brugge, according to claims coming from Belgium.
A few days ago, Het Nieuwsblad reported De Bock could be set to sign a 4.5 contract with Leeds United, described as a ‘traditional’ English club.
At that time there was said to be no agreement between the clubs or on personal terms, and interest from Germany and Italy was also referenced.
On Monday, another Belgian newspaper, HLN, report that a transfer is ‘close’ to happening. There was still no agreement between Leeds United and Club Brugge, but whilst interest from Italy was once again mentioned it was stated it’s unlikely any of the other interested sides would be able to match what’s on offer at Elland Road.
Now HLN’s Tomas Taecke reports De Bock will become a Leeds United player, and has left Club Brugge’s training camp to travel for his medical with the Championship club.
The 25 year old is a left-footed left-back and can also play in central defence.
