All of a sudden, Eden Hazard is linked to Burnley.
Those claims are brought by Fichajes, who features a story following the quotes from Clarets boss Vincent Kompany saying the winger still has room to bring back his best form.
It’s said that Burnley are ‘trying to convince’ Hazard of joining them in the Premier League next season, and would like to use the manager to ‘little by little’ attract the player to Turf Moor.
Hazard only has nine appearances for Real Madrid this season, and the La Liga giants are said to be totally fine with letting him move out of the club one year before the end of his contract.
Fichajes then points out that the ‘best for his career’ would be a comeback to the Premier League, and he could do that by joining ‘one of his close friends’.
It obviously sounds a bit crazy to see Burnley being named as a potential destination for Hazard, who had been a world-class player at Chelsea and got a €115m move to Real Madrid.
However, with the Clarets going to the Premier League, it makes sense that the options the winger would have in England would be far below the top clubs, and working with one of his old Belgium national teammates could be a great way to get back into the swing of things.
