Tony Adams

In his 22 year long career, Tony Adams played as a centre-back for the Arsenal FC and has become a football manager after his retirement. Tony made the Club win a UEFA Cup title, three FA cups and two League Championships. His most remembered moments for the Club have been in 1989 when he led the 2-0 victory against Liverpool and on 3rd May, 1998 when after his come-back he scored the winning goal against Everton. Due to his presence and attitude, he came to be known as Mr. Arsenal in his later years in the game.

Cliff Bastin

Though Cliff’s professional career was hampered by the World War II, which took good 8 years of his career, he is still counted among the highest contributing players to the club. In his appearances between 1929 and 1939, he managed to make 178 goals, by playing not just at centre-forward, but also on the inside-left in the W-M formation devised by Herbert Chapman.

He joined the club at a very young age of 17 years and lifted the League trophy in just two years. By the time Cliff retired from the game, he had won 2 FA Cups and 5 League titles.

Patrick Vieira

Patrick Vieira was “the irreplaceable guy” in the Arsenal squad, and when he finally left the Club, it took 9 years for Arsenal to win another trophy. The French player started his career in 1994 at Cannes, and was signed by Arsenal two years later. In his nine years’ association with the club, he lifted 9 trophies while playing as midfielder.

Due to his short temper, Patrick was constantly surrounded by controversies, but his game silenced them all. In the 1998 FIFA World Cup, he led France to clinch their first World Cup victory.
