Besiktas wants to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge to replace Cenk Tosun, report Fanatik.
Everton look to be on the verge of signing Tosun after holding talks to sign the player in the past ten days.
Sturridge reportedly wants to leave the club after becoming frustrated with the lack of games he’s been getting this season. Fanatik say once Tosun’s transfer to Everton is completed, Besiktas will move in on the Liverpool outcast.
The Turkish newspaper claim initial talks with Liverpool went well, and the club are planning to offer a six month loan deal to the England international.
Fanatik state Sturridge’s agency has a Turkish representative in Hasan Anil Eken, and he’s quoted as saying: “Sturridge has been very impressed with the ‘Come to Besiktas’ madness. If the terms suit both parties and Besiktas fans wants him, then he of course wants to move.”
Fanatik say Besiktas are looking to offer Sturridge €2m, and the Turkish club want to insert a redemption clause in the region of €15m.
His move to the Turkish champions could now depend on Tosun’s transfer to Everton. The forward’s agent is currently in England holding talks with Everton, and a move to Goodison Park is expected soon.
