Speaking to Kronen Zeitung and relayed by Spox, he said: “There are always talks with top clubs in Italy and England. However, it always failed because of the transfer fee. A transfer is currently not an issue.
“He feels very much at home [at Sassuolo]. There is a very good defensive development with him. Nowhere else can you improve defensively and tactically as you do in Italy”.
It isn’t specifically mentioned whether Tottenham are among the clubs Hagmayr has been chatting to, but Spox do state the Premier League side is said ‘to have already expressed an interest’.
