A target for a handful of Premier League clubs in the past, Orkun Kökcü is continuing to impress at PSV Eindhoven.
In fact, there are many who wonder whether the Turkey international will still be with the Eredivisie club next season, with the likes of Arsenal seen as the ideal next step for the midfielder.
This comes from Ali Boussaboun, a former Feyenoord player, who was full of praise for the 21-year-old while doing some punditry work for FC Rijnmond, explaining the PSV star could soon be worth a lot more than he currently is if he makes the right move.
He said: “Kökcü is also doing well internationally. Perhaps (he won’t move to) a club at the absolute top, but certainly at the sub-top. Clubs such as Arsenal. Kökcü may be worth €50-60m later.”
We’ll have to wait and see what happens to the player going forward, but the Gunners have been linked with him in the past, with a few reports suggesting Mikel Arteta’s side were interested in him.
A lot of these have come from abroad, but with some pushing for that transfer and Boussaboun clearly seeing Arsenal as the ideal next step for the player, perhaps it’s something they should consider (or re-consider) going forward?
