Newcastle United would want €60-70m+ for Sandro Tonali were he to leave this summer, as Juventus continue to eye him up.
That’s according to La Stampa, relayed by Sportmediaset, who cover the midfielder today in news that has made the front page.
They explain that ‘the Tonali dream’ endures at Juventus, who want to improve their midfield this summer and consider the Newcastle star as the man to do it.
The club want to bring three high level players to Turin to strengthen the squad and ‘the dream of the owners’ is to add Tonali to their midfield options.
He is very popular at the club and would be the ‘perfect emblem’ of the new Juventus moving forwards. That is because he is young, talented and above all Italian.
La Stampa say Newcastle have made it clear that they want a minimum of €60-70m for the midfielder and it will be a ‘feat’ for anyone to snatch him from the Magpies. The love of the Newcastle fans for him would also make a deal difficult.
That price is considered ‘scary’ by Juventus, although they could include possible counterparts in the deal to bring the price down. All eyes would be on Douglas Luiz on that front.
It’s a situation which is likely to develop over the coming months but is already making front page news in Italy ahead of the summer.
