Manchester United pursuing signing after making monster offer – Player keen on transfer

On October 14th, A Bola reported Manchester United are one of the clubs ‘attentive’ to João Félix’s situation at Atlético Madrid.

AS on Thursday explain the 22-year-old wants to leave the La Liga side in January, and if he fails, then next summer.

He is going through a difficult time under Diego Simeone and has taken professional help to face the manager in the coming months. At the moment, there are ‘no signs of improvement’.

This has alerted three clubs. Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, they add the Red Devils are willing to tussle for the signing.

Erik ten Hag’s side made a €130m offer for the Portugal international in the summer, say AS, but it was turned down by Los Rojiblancos.

Félix has asked to leave the Metropolitano three times, but Atlético have always closed the door on his exit. However, ‘everything seems to indicate’ the Madrid club will ‘not put any impediment to negotiate’ his sale. 

The player wants to leave the Spanish club in the winter market, while Atlético hope his exit will take place next summer.

It is not ruled out an agreement can be found for Félix’s loan transfer in January, with the inclusion of a mandatory purchase option for next summer.
