A month ago, Jorge Nicola reported a meeting held by Chelsea for the signing of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick.
It was said the Blues met the player’s parents and agent to signal their intention of spending €40m on his signing.
The teenager was now elected by Transfermarkt as the most valuable U-17 player in the world, along with Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko, and as the Brazilian journalist talks about that in a video today, he shares some updates on the Blues’ chase.
Nicola says that Chelsea’s ‘official proposal’ wasn’t made yet, and he claims to believe that the Blues, just like other European clubs, want to see Endrick ‘in action’ for the first team before making their attempt.
Endrick became a star playing for Palmeiras’ and Brazil’s youth ranks, and despite being promoted to the Verdão’s first team recently, he’s still to make his debut for them.
Chelsea are obviously not alone in the race for him, as according to Nicola, the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid are all interested in him as well.
