The Danish media today writes about the ‘exciting summer’ that Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley could have ahead of him.
Tipsbladet claims that with an ‘absolutely terrific’ season with the Scottish side, the 23-year-old is expected to draw attention from a ‘bigger club’.
Celtic aren’t expected to let him leave easily, though, as they already managed to hold him in January and would do that again in case the right offer doesn’t arrive.
It’s recalled that Atletico Madrid placed a €20.9m offer, and Brendan Rodgers’ side demanded €28.8m, with the Colchoneros having ‘never returned’ with a new bid.
Now it’s claimed that the La Liga side could make a new attempt in the summer, and even though they may have competition for the signing, they could have the strength to win this race.
The Premier League is also pointed out as a destination, though, with Tipsbladet saying Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham United would be fitting destinations.
All this competition can only be good for Celtic, who should get more offers and be able to push the price up.
