A design has emerged, via Footy Headlines, of a shirt which is stated by some to be Barcelona’s home strip for the 2019/20 season.
It’s a limited edition to celebrate Nike’s twenty year association with the Catalan club, and therefore is a mix up of all the shirts previously put out.
With some suggestions this would be the home shirt, and with opinions split on whether it’s really brilliant or absolutely awful, Mundo Deportivo decided to go to the extent of contacting Barcelona and asking them what the situation is.
The Catalan newspaper were informed that the design will not be the club’s home shirt for the 2019/20 season. On top of that, it was further explained that it’s not a shirt the Barcelona players will be wearing at all, even if just for a one-off.
There is also no campaign planned to publicise the shirt either, at least that Barcelona are aware of.So, Nike may plan to release their mash-up, but the club are in the dark over it.
