Eintracht Frankfurt striker André Silva is available for €40m this summer as Barcelona eye up a potential move.
That’s according to BILD, who provide information on the striker and Barcelona’s reported interest in him today.
Silva has been enjoying a super campaign with the Bundesliga side, with 21 goals in 24 games in the Bundesliga so far this season.
That’s naturally earned him plenty of attention, and reports in Spain have indicated he could be on Barcelona’s list, with them looking for a striker this summer.
Their number one target is Erling Haaland, but if he proves to be too difficult to sign, it’s believed Silva is on the list of alternative targets.
BILD cover that today and state that there are ‘increasing signs’ that Silva could be on the move in the summer after playing ‘the season of his life’.
He has a contract with Frankfurt until 2023, but they would ‘ready’ to talk about a deal around the €40m mark.
Barcelona are yet to make ‘direct contact’ with the German club about a move, but they have a ‘short line’ to Silva’s representatives, Gestifute.
Their boss Jorge Mendes represents Ansu Fati and also ‘maintains close contact’ with Barcelona president Joan Laporta; the insinuation being a deal would be easy to get done because of this relationship.
One thing is clear in that Silva would be keen on the move as it ‘would be a sensation’ to play in a team with Lionel Messi, a dream that has every chance of coming true in the summer.
