Savinho moved to Europe when the City Football Group, who own Manchester City, signed him for Troyes in 2022. He was on loan at PSV Eindhoven last season, before the French club sent him out on loan to Girona in the summer window.

Last year, claims had indicated the 19-year-old had been in the treble winners’ sights when he was at Atlético Mineiro. Two days ago, the winger admitted he rejected Arsenal to be part of the CFG, in order to fulfil his dream of representing Manchester City in the future.

The Brazilian has a goal and two assists from five games this season and his form for Girona has caught Barcelona’s attention. That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who state he’s one of the ‘most disruptive’ players in La Liga.

They have also relayed a claim made by journalist Albert Fernández, who states Barca are showing interest in the teenager and have been following him for the last two to three years.

Xavi Hernández’s side are sniffing around the attacker, but his stated dream is to join Manchester City.

Barcelona are monitoring Savinho, likely with a hope of preventing him from joining the Premier League winners or another club in the future.
