Football agent Kia Joorabchian has done several deals with Barcelona since the last summer transfer window.
It started with the arrival of Paulinho to the Camp Nou from Guangzhou Evergrande in 2017. The Brazilian has now rejoined the Chinese Super League club from the La Liga winners this summer.
Earlier in January, another Joorabchian client Philippe Coutinho arrived at Barcelona from Liverpool. Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo now reports the agent is working on helping Ernesto Valverde’s side sign one more player he manages.
That’s Chelsea’s Willian, who is on the radar of the Spanish champions. The report claims the agent is in London holding talks with the Blues on behalf of Barcelona.
Mundo believes several Chelsea players like Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas and Willian are attracting interest from other clubs. For Willian, Barcelona could face competition from Manchester United, who is managed by the player’s former coach, Jose Mourinho.
Willian doesn’t have a release clause at Stamford Bridge and Barcelona believe a bid of around €50m should be sufficient for the Blues to let their player leave, who still has two years left on his contract.
The Camp Nou outfit are ready to offer €50m for the ex-Shakhtar Donetsk man, which doesn’t seem enough.
