Following the election of Joan Laporta to the presidency of FC Barcelona, we now see several stories about the transfer plans he has for the club.
The latest is published by Deportes Cuatro today, who claim the Camp Nou side are going after Sevilla winger Bryan Gil.
The 20-year-old is said to be one of the targets Barcelona can sign with the ‘few resources’ they have due to their economic crisis, and Laporta is said to be ‘in love’ with the player.
Loaned by Sevilla to Eibar until the end of the season, Gil has a release clause of only €35m, which makes him a lot cheaper than many other players in the transfer market.
His contract, however, says that amount will change to €150m next year, so Barcelona know they must move soon to get him.
Laporta reportedly made many contacts to find out the price of several targets.
The other signings which are ‘clearer’ for the Catalan side are those of Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero, since both have their contracts with Manchester City expiring at the end of the season, and can arrive at the Camp Nou for free.
