Updates on the Neymar saga continue to come out several times a day, and the latest one arrives from Sport’s sources in Catalonia.
They claim that even though Barcelona have recently given a negative answer during the talks with Paris Saint Germain, the club are only doing it as part of negotiations.
Sport makes it clear that Barça have ‘not taken a step back’, as they’re using a ‘negotiating tactic’ so PSG can be more flexible during the talks.
It’s said that Barcelona first offered €130m plus Jean-Clair Todibo, Ivan Rakitic and the loan of Ousmane Dembele. But since the former Borussia Dortmund player doesn’t want the move, that ruined their plans.
That’s when Paris Saint Germain demanded only money, and Barcelona said no. Now the Catalan side wait for a counter-offer from the Paris club, always expecting to include players in the deal.
Sport says the next few hours should be decisive, as both clubs continue to negotiate, and ‘all possibilities are open’.
