The long saga surrounding two Barcelona players, Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina is set to come to an end. The midfielder and the defender were on the radar of several English clubs, with Manchester United believed to be interested in the latter.

Earlier today, we covered a report from the Catalan media, who claimed the former Benfica man and the centre-back will join Everton before the 5pm deadline.

Mundo Deportivo now reports both Gomes and Mina have successfully cleared their medical tests that were arranged by the Premier League club at a hospital in Barcelona.

In case of the Colombian international, his agent was waiting for the last proposal from the Red Devils, which never arrived.

That, coupled by the confidence given by Everton manager Marco Silva convinced the ex-Palmeiras man to make a switch to Goodison Park. Silva’s stance on the transfer is described as ‘key’ in attracting Mina.

For Gomes, Everton will sign him on a loan deal and they were successful in convincing Barcelona to agree to the deal. The duo will now reunite with Lucas Digne.
