Mundo Deportivo, a Catalan sport newspaper, are reporting on Wednesday evening that Barcelona have asked for information about potentially signing Florin Andone this month.
The club are looking for a back-up forward having let Munir join Sevilla, and want a bargain, or a cheap loan, and someone who isn’t going to have a problem spending nearly all the matches glued to the bench.
Mundo Deportivo say they’ve had it confirmed to them that Barcelona called Andone last week and collected information about a possible transfer deal. However, it’s claimed that after reflection the opportunity has been pushed to one side and Barca have moved on to other targets.
That may not be the end of Andone’s transfer hopes.
Galatasaray certainly aren’t on Barcelona’s level, but are still a very big club, and we covered claims earlier on Wednesday that the Turkish club are considering the Brighton player as they look for at least two additions up front.
