Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with several Serie A players after the north London club appointed Fabio Paratici as Managing Director of football.
Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli is the latest player to have ended up in the crosshairs of the Spurs chief. Several Serie A sides, including Juventus, have plans to sign the 23-year-old this summer.
Italian journalist and Il Bianconero (a Juventus website) director, Marcello Chirico, took to Twitter to warn the Old Lady and other suitors to pay ‘attention to Paratici’.
According to Chirico, Paratici tried to ‘buy’ the Sassuolo star for the Turin club, for two years.
Having failed to acquire his compatriot’s services during his time at Juve, Paratici will ‘try to bring him’ to Tottenham.
Paratic has taken the first step to sign the Italy international as he’s ‘already contacted’ Sassuolo general manager Giovanni Carnevali.
Locatelli, however, wants to give priority to Juventus and Chirico states Paratici’s successor in Turin, Federico Cherubini, must act quickly and try to close the deal with Sassuolo.
