Wolverhampton Wanderers have been monitoring Palmeiras’ Raphael Veiga for a ‘long time’, according to iG Esporte.

Operating as an attacking midfielder, he’s managed eight goals and six assists from 18 games this season. His displays haven’t gone unnoticed and he’s drawn interest from Wolves.

Their title states Veiga has been ‘probed’ by Premier League sides and Wolves are mentioned within the report.

Julen Lopetegui’s side have approached the Brazil international’s entourage to know about the conditions needed to carry out the operation in the summer. It’s further claimed there is a possibility of Wolves ‘formalising a proposal’ to sign him in the next few months.

The player has a deal lasting until 2026 and the report makes it clear his club have so far not received any bids for him.

Wolves wanting the South American was earlier discussed in the Brazilian media. Last month, Goal Brazil reported the English club’s approach to sign Veiga and it was also explained that Palmeiras have made it clear his sale is possible in the summer.
