Adnan Januzaj’s move to Sunderland may not be quite as sealed as had been thought. The young Belgian going to Sunderland makes a lot of sense, and is an excellent option, given he’d have the opportunity to team up once again with David Moyes.

Belgium’s HLN report that Sunderland would like to conclude takes for a loan signing this week, something which would suit Manchester United too. However, HLN state an agreement has not yet been found for the move to happen.

There may be some kind of disagreement over whether it’s a straight loan, straight transfer, and what clauses are involved in that for each club. Whilst HLN say that Januzaj has failed to impress Jose Mourinho during pre-season, the club are likely reluctant to cut all ties.

The Belgian newspaper say Januzaj’s ‘entourage’ are talking to other candidates. That’s not a huge surprise, Januzaj will surely want to be sure there’s nothing better available before committing himself, having demonstrated indecision in the past.
