Atalanta will host Celtic in the Champions League later today. On Tuesday, we covered claims from Italy which stated Sead Kolašinac and Isak Hien could risk missing the clash against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Later that day, La Dea manager Gian Piero Gasperini talked about having concerns at the back due to Kolašinac and Hien being unwell. He also stated the duo will be assessed, to find out if they can feature against Celtic.
TuttoMercatoWeb provides the latest on the 31-year-old and Hien’s possible involvement against Celtic, after Atalanta’s training session on Tuesday.
At the weekend, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international missed the Serie A side’s league win over Venezia due to flu. Hien, on the other hand, was replaced after 45 minutes.
TMW now state the 25-year-old Sweden international took part in the last training session while the former Arsenal man was ‘absent’. This should certainly be a concern for Gasperini ahead of the tie against Celtic.
It remains to be seen whether he’ll recover in time for Wednesday’s clash against Celtic. This indicates Kolašinac isn’t completely ruled out to face Brendan Rodgers’ side.
