The Spanish media is sounding quite positive about the future of Clement Lenglet.
The defender, who’s loaned by Barcelona to Aston Villa until the end of the season, should soon be finding a new solution for his career.
And as Sport features a story about the many loanees the Catalan side have around, they highlight that the defender managed to recover his good form under Unai Emery this season.
The outlet writes that even though Lenglet started the season without having many chances to play, some injuries in Aston Villa’s squad gave him the opportunity to prove himself.
It’s said that even though he’s been benched recently, he found a way to ‘revalue’ himself, and that’s why he ‘may have a market in the Premier League’.
Aston Villa would obviously have the first chance here, if Emery feels Lenglet can be a useful member of the squad next season, especially in the case of Champions League football.
There’s a good deal there to be done, with Barcelona surely now knowing they need to cut their losses and get what they can.
