AS Roma star Bryan Cristante has ended up on the radar of Aston Villa and West Ham.
Operating as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder and in the heart of defence, he;s managed two goals and three assists from 16 games this season.
His versatility and form have seen a few clubs take notice and TV Play state both Aston Villa and West Ham are now added to the list.
Earlier today, Il Messaggero stated Tottenham Hotspur are ready to invest €30m to sign the 28-year-old next summer. TV Play also talk about Spurs’ interest and add they are joined by the Villans and David Moyes’ side in the transfer chase.
It’s claimed Aston Villa and the UEFA Conference League winners are in the picture to sign Cristante, who has been a key figure under José Mourinho.
The Serie A side took the Italy international from Atalanta in 2018, when Aston Villa director Monchi was in charge at Roma. Monchi could give Unai Emery’s side an edge to beat West Ham and other clubs in a potential battle for Cristante.
Mourinho is following the player’s situation with a ‘bit of apprehension’. TV Play state the Portuguese tactician is aware Roma would find it difficult to retain Cristante, if they were to receive an offer of around €30m in January.
It needs to be seen if any of the English clubs will make an offer in the next window.
