Aston Villa transfer on verge on being completed, but final details to be sorted

 

French newspaper L’Equipe have what they present as an update on Jordan Veretout’s complicated transfer situation.

In their Saturday transfer roundup, L’Equipe explain that Veretout’s transfer to Fiorentina is drawing closer.

For a couple of days it’s been reported in Italy that everything is agreed on the transfer, and the Aston Villa player will be moving, but the French newspaper believe there are still loose ends to sort out.

Veretout and Aston Villa dumped a potential Saint-Etienne option when Fiorentina came in with more money. The midfielder has now flown from Birmingham to France and is awaiting confirmation that a deal is agreed before travelling onward to Florence and signing for Viola.

L’Equipe believe the transfer should get sorted out over the next week, but until things are settled, and Veretout signs on the dotted, it’s got to be considered that anything can happen, especially if another club comes in.
