Relegated to the Championship and getting a new manager and a new owner, Aston Villa are in total revamp mode, and that could also include some players leaving.

One of the club’s more promising performers before a bad knee injury ended his season, Jordan Amavi looks likely to be on his way out, but the big question is where to?

First linked with Liverpool, the player was then sent to Lyon by L’Equipe over the weekend, which we covered.

With Henri Bedimo set to leave the club when his contract runs out in June, the Ligue 1 side will be looking for a replacement on the transfer market this summer.

Alongside Amavi, it appears rumours are sending Palermo’s Achraf Lazaar to team up with Alexandre Lacazette, meaning a move to Jean-Michel Aulas’ side might not be on the cards after all.

That doesn’t mean Amavi will be staying, with other reports claiming a return to his former club under Lucien Favre could be interested in a loan, while Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday suggested a possible move to AC Milan in Italy could happen.

It’s all over the place for the former Nice defender, but with a return from injury expected at the end of the month, things could become a bit clearer over the next month or so.
