Yesterday we covered reports from the Turkish press that Aston Villa are interested in signing Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne.
The Senegalese striker is expected to leave the Super Lig club following reports they are interested in signing AS Monaco’s Radamel Falcao. However, they haven’t been able to agree a deal with Middle Eastern clubs for Diagne, leading to these links with Aston Villa.
Following yesterday’s reports, BİP SPOR’s chief editor İbrahim Seten now claims the Premier League new boys have offered €10m to Galatasaray to sign the forward.
Seten says the Turkish champions are holding out for €13m for the attacker and transfer talks between the two clubs are set to continue in the next couple of days.
Throughout this transfer window Gala have tried to sell Diagne and it now seems they are close to negotiating his departure.
If Diagne joins Aston Villa, he will become teammates with the English side’s recent signing Trezeguet, whom he played with at Kasimpasa.
Last season the Senegal international scored 30 goals in the league, between Kasimpasa and Galatasaray.
