According to a report in the Turkish media, Besiktas are looking to increase the salary of attacker Semih Kılıçsoy following Aston Villa’s interest in the player this summer.
The 19-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League side during the last transfer window, but Besiktas reportedly rejected their offer.
Sabah today report the Turkish international will, in the coming days, be given a 50% increase in his annual salary.
Despite only signing a five-year contract last year, the Super Lig side are looking to tie down Kılıçsoy, who impressed during his debut season.
The Turkish media outlet reiterate Aston Villa’s interest in the youngster, and they say the English side came in with a substantial offer for him towards the end of the window.
However, this bid was turned down by the Istanbul side, as was an offer from West Ham United.
Kılıçsoy started 20 Super Lig games last season, scoring 11 goals. He’s contracted to the Black Eagles until June 2028.
