There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are looking to offload Barış Alper Yılmaz this summer.
The 24 year old has been linked with host of Premier League clubs in recent weeks, including Aston Villa.
According to Sporx, Galatasaray are concerned about the lack of transfer activity this summer, mainly due to not having the revenue to bring in their prime targets.
Subsequently, the Turkish champions are looking to sell Yılmaz, along with Davidson Sanchez, in order to raise in the region of €60m.
We recently covered reports of Aston Villa’s interest in Yılmaz after he impressed at this summer’s Euros.The English side were said to be ‘especially’ keen on the player. It was also reported Gala are looking to get in the region of €30m for the right winger.
He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
The Turkish media are getting a little carried away with him this summer, and €30m feels a stretch.
