Werder Bremen are looking forward to having the services of Tahith Chong next season. The 20 year old will be on loan from Manchester United, and even though the final details of the deal haven’t been made concrete, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are allowing him to train with Werder.

One of the reasons the Bundesliga club wanted another winger is the doubt around Milot Rashica’s future. He’s expected to be allowed to leave this summer, and Aston Villa have been repeatedly presented as one of the interested clubs.

Fehmarn24, local to Werder, report Aston Villa would be ‘ready’ to pay the €25m required to take the player away this summer. However, the problem lies with Rashica himself, whilst he wouldn’t be against a move to the Premier League, he isn’t keen to join a club who will potentially be in a relegation battle.

That strongly goes against Villa, and they’d need to be very convincing indeed to change that stance. Rashica would much rather join RB Leipzig, but the club hasn’t shown signs of wanting to match the €25m asking price.
