Deportivo La Coruna have had a difficult start to the season in La Liga, as they’ve managed just 5 points in the opening 5 games.
The Aston Villa player, who signed for Deportivo on loan at the start of the season, suffered an injury during training yesterday, and AS say he looked ‘visibly upset’ when leaving the pitch.
The 23-year-old is set to undergo tests early next week to determine the extent of the injury. AS say Deportivo are not too optimistic about it, and that the player could be sidelined for a few weeks.
The Spanish footballer still has another three years left on his contract at the Championship club, but Deportivo have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
