Aston Villa striker Wesley Moraes has arrived in Brazil to complete his move to Internacional.

As reported by Globo Esporte, the player landed this afternoon at the Porto Alegre airport, where he was welcomed by Colorado’s executive director Paulo Bracks.

The outlet writes that Wesley will have the medicals at the club’s training centre today, and ‘in case he’s approved’, he’ll sign a loan until the end of the year.

It’s once again claimed that the deal will not include a buying option for Internacional to sign him permanently from Aston Villa.

It was in January 2020 that Wesley had a knee injury playing for Villa. Since then, he had a long period of recovery, and got back in action with a few appearances by the end of the last season.

This summer he was loaned to Brugge, for whom he only made six appearances during a loan which was supposed to run until the end of the season. So with the little playing time, he decided to go somewhere else.

Before agreeing to join Internacional, he was also linked to the likes of Corinthians, Palmeiras and São Paulo. Reports in Brazil suggested that the first two gave up on the signing after being worried with his physical situation.
