According to a claim in the Swedish media, FC Copenhagen are showing serious interest in Aston Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

The 35-year-old has struggled to get games this season and it seems the Danish giants are looking to take advantage of his situation with the Premier League side.

Aftonbladet today report on Copenhagen’s pursuit of the Aston Villa player, and they say the SuperLiga club have made their move for him.

The Swedish newspaper state a ‘huge offer’ has been made to the Sweden international, but the veteran wants to remain loyal to Aston Villa and has rejected their approaches.

The Swedish media outlet say he’s now likely to remain at Villa Park until the end of the season when he will then be become a free agent.

There are no reports on whether Copenhagen will come back in for Olsen in the summer, but they should expect competition from his former club Malmo, who are keen to land him on a free transfer.

He spent four seasons with the Swedish giants, and they’ll hope that can help them.

Olsen has made just two appearances for Aston Villa this season, but has continued to be Sweden’s No.1 when available.
