Leandro Bacuna may be a Curacao international but he was born in Groningen, and came the youth ranks at his local club, so is very much a product of Dutch football.
At least, that’s according to respectable Dutch football magazine Voetbal International. They claim that as well as Turkish interest, there’s ‘concrete’ interest from Portugal.
The Portuguese love a transfer rumour, but we haven’t been able to find one reference to a possible move in the Portuguese media.
It’s also stated that ‘clubs’ from China have made efforts to find out if they could sign the 25 year old from Aston Villa.
This seems to be something of a fishing expedition coming from someone connected to the Netherlands, and it would be interesting to see how things develop from here.
