Last week, Quotidiano Sportivo reported Aston Villa loanee Samuel Iling-Junior was looking to cut short his stint at Bologna.

The winger was looking for a Premier League move and talks between the Villans, Bologna and the player’s entourage were ongoing.

More information has now emerged about the 21-year-old winger, who could be set to stay at the Italian club until the end of the season.

Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by TuttoBolognaWeb, have reported that attempts to seek a Premier League move have not yielded anything for the Aston Villa player.

Iling-Junior is looking to play regularly and that was the reason behind his target of returning to England. So now he will stay at Bologna until the end of the season and he will not go back to Aston Villa.

The ex-Juventus man has played less than 500 minutes in all competitions for the Rossoblu this, featuring more in the Champions League than Serie A.

Unai Emery’s side will hope Iling-Junior plays more often in the remainder of the season.
