On Friday, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Aston Villa’s Samuel Iling-Junior is set to join Bologna on a loan deal.
The 20-year-old arrived at Villa Park from Juventus last month but will return to Italy before the window closes.
Il Resto del Carlino now provides the latest on the deal to take the Aston Villa player to the Serie A side.
Last weekend, Aston league sealed a 2-1 win over West Ham United and the winger wasn’t included in the squad. A few days later, the UK press stated he wanted to go out on loan.
Bologna are set to take the England U21 international on a loan deal. They are looking to add the Aston Villa player, Tommaso Pobega and Argentine winger Benjamín Domínguez.
The Italian club struck three deals in one day for the trio. With regards to Iling-Junior’s loan deal, it’s claimed Bologna will pay €500,000 as loan fee to the Villans.
In addition to this, they will pay €1.5m as wages during his loan spell. It’s not made clear whether this is his full annual salary at Aston Villa.
Il Resto del Carlino add Iling-Junior is ‘expected soon for medical visits’, indicating the deal is about to be completed in a short period.
