With the Turkish transfer window being one of the last to close in Europe, these are weeks when many players end up linked to Super Lig clubs.
The latest of them is Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson. According to journalist Sacha Tavollieri, the player is ‘attracted by the sirens of Turkey’.
Pointing out the ‘last minute aborted deal’ with Espanyol due to a TMS issue, it’s said the player could now ‘find his happiness at Galatasaray’.
It’s claimed the Turkish club are interested in signing the 28-year-old from Aston Villa on a loan deal, and we’ll all ned to ‘wait and see’ whether the clubs will be able to find a deal.
Heavily linked to a departure from Steven Gerrard’s side this summer, Sanson hasn’t been used this season. In fact, things weren’t very different in 2021/22, when he only had 12 appearances for the club, often being brought on at the end of the game.
Since his contract with Aston Villa only expires in 2025, it’d be pretty reasonable to see them letting him go on loan and at least getting rid of his salary for now.
