On Wednesday we covered claims from Spain that Aston Villa are one of a number of clubs interested in Andres Martin.
The 19 year old attacker currently plays for Cordoba and the Spanish club are hoping to raise a relatively large fee for him this summer.
The list of those interested was seriously impressive. Along with the Premier League new boys there’s Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.
Jesús García Pitarch was said to have visited Cordoba personally to watch the player, one of several visits Aston Villa made.
Despite all the claims, there was no report of a potential price.
ABC Sevilla today report Sevilla have offered €1.5m for the youngster, which seems to be around the expected price.
Interest from Aston Villa is backed up, and that’s the same for the other clubs, with a few more thrown in there.
Should Pitarch want this one he’s got a lot of competition to face.
