Aston Villa have made a proposal to sign Beşiktaş’ Ernest Muci, according to Fanatik.
The Black Eagles signed the attacking midfielder from Polish side Legia Warsaw in January and handed him a deal until 2027. He has two goals from seven matches for his new club so far.
Beşiktaş president Hasan Arat has now revealed that he’s already received a €20m bid for the 23-year-old.
“A European club made an offer of €20m for Ernest Muci. However, I rejected the offer. Muci is a player with potential and we want him to stay with us next season,” he said.
Arat didn’t reveal the name of the club that tabled the offer for the Albania international. As per Fanatik, the club mentioned by the president was Aston Villa and they further add he’s being followed by several other clubs.
Unai Emery’s side are said to continue to have the attacker on their radar.
That’s what Sözcü Gazetesi are reporting, and they add that Aston Villa director Monchi is keeping an eye on the player. In addition to this, the Spaniard is also watching Muci’s teammate, Semih Kılıçsoy.
With Arat insisting the Albanian won’t be allowed to leave, Aston Villa may have a difficult task to try and sign him in the next window.
