Aston Villa are preparing an €18m bid for Werder Bremen forward Milot Rashica after reviving their interest in him.
That’s what Bild report today, picking up on claims from earlier this week that Villa had turned their attention back to the forward.
Earlier this week we covered a report from DeichStube that claimed Aston Villa were back in the mix for the winger after completing a deal for Brentford’s Ollie Watkins.
They were willing to satisfy Bremen’s €25m asking price for Rashica, although they needed to convince the 24-year-old into the move.
Bild have now covered the situation and say that Aston Villa are ‘preparing‘ an €18m bid for the Kosovo striker and are currently the only ‘hot track’ for him.
Talks between the two clubs are currently ‘pending’ with several issues, such as future bonus payments, still to be negotiated.
Werder Bremen, though, want to sell Rashica as ‘quickly as possible’ as they need the money and are worried about the player getting injured and ruining a potential money-spinner for them.
Rashica is keen to secure a move too. He had initially favoured a move to RB Leipzig, but Bild say his path now seems to lead to Aston Villa instead.
