Over the past few days, various claims have reported about Aston Villa’s concrete interest in Sevilla’s Loïc Badé and these surfaced after Monchi’s trip to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán at the weekend.

On Tuesday, ABC Sevilla stated Monchi has started talks with the La Liga side and needs to offload Diego Carlos first before making an approach for the 24-year-old.

Later that day, Sevilla sporting director Víctor Orta stated they haven’t received an offer yet for the Aston Villa target.

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC also report Monchi has begun negotiations for the Frenchman and then provide more on this case.

Unai Emery’s side have tabled a first offer of €15m plus €5m bonuses, taking advantage of the Spanish club’s financial situation. The report says Sevilla have requested €22m plus €5m bonuses, and Carlos on loan with Aston Villa covering half of his salary.

Carlos’ exit from Villa Park is ‘essential’ for the English club to sign Badé and Sevilla see him as an affordable option to replace their player.

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC state Aston Villa will have a new meeting with Sevilla on Wednesday where the clubs will try to close the gap.
